Oh Snap!
Today we met with fellow homeschoolers in Pembroke. The drive is about 35 minutes but that seems normal by GA standards, that I got used to. I would travel a good 25 minutes to get to co-op and at times it would take me 15 minutes to get to Walmart. So, this drive isn’t bad….or so I thought….
The kids got to play outside while we were there b/c the sun was shining. And, while it was crisp the sun provided some warmth. Benny did land himself in some mud and it reinforced to me that I need to have a bag of extra clothes for each kid.
After we left the church we headed over to pick some carrots and get some bread from the lady that runs the food minisitry. I got 5 big carrots and 3 loaves of bread (one foccacia, one sourdough and one french). It was a wonderful surprise. Afterwards the kids and I got lunch and headed home. On the way back to the interstate I couldn’t believe my eyes: SNOW! By the time we got on the thruway it was a full-fledged white out..
I have plenty of experience in driving in the white stuff but it sure is a shock after not having done it for a couple years. Mikey was a tad bit nervous but I reassured him that Mama had driven in much worse. I remember a night when I seemingly reinacted a scene from Ace Ventura Pet Detective, what with my head hanging out of the car to see better and what not.
