Another Treat!!

Thank you to Jamie at Here’s What I Think:

She gave me another bloggy Halloweeny treat!!

I give this treat to EVERYONE who stops by!

The kids are counting down the days.

Last night before bed, Olivia said, “I’m soooooooo excited!”

“Why?” I questioned.

“Because Halloween is almost here!” she squealed with delight.

We’re trick-or-treating with Maureen and her family.  I’m so proud of the kids, too.  They all decided to wear a costume from a previous year as to recycle instead of waste money on a new costume.

I’ll have a skeleton, dead Guinivere, and folk dancer!  I’m not interested in dressing the baby up, but if Maureen finds her son’s first costume, I’ll probably put that one him.  If not, no biggie!  I know it’s his first Halloween, but it’s just not a big deal.  I’d rather make his first one the one where he actually knows what’s happening.

One more sleep till Halloween! YAY :D

The Garden Tub

It’s Christened!  I took a bath in it, finally, after only living here for almost four months!  It felt wonderful.  I used Epsom salts because my lower back is screaming in pain.  I reckon I feel better, too.  I’m so clean and refreshed.  I think I might have to use the tub a couple times a week, if not nightly.  After all, I was told that more water is wasted during a shower than a bath such as the one I took.  See, relaxation AND I’m helping the environment.

Now that I’m so soothed, it’s time for bed.  Another day awaits and it’s a busy one; Tuesday’s are always the most jam-packed!

It’s Monday and time to air grievances (in no particular order)!

  • Back pain sucks!
  • Heartburn (after eating too much salsa) sucks!
  • I love to cook and be cooked for, but the clean-up sucks major!
  • Teething pain for baby sucks super major!
  • Saying goodbye sucks humungo-major!

Weekend Update & 10 Months

I love weekends like this one. Where it’s spent in togetherness.

On Friday Michael took the kids to a play, out to lunch, and then he went to get his hair (well, all of them) cut. We munched on leftovers for dinner, and we watched Weeds and Californication after the kids went to bed.

Saturday afternoon was spent with friends. Michael made a pot of white beans, cabbage, and corn bread. There was some football tossing, movie watching, light-sabre playing, bike riding, bath taking, and much humorous talking. It’s so refreshing to spend time with family and friends! After our friends left for the night we got the kids tucked in and watched a movie. Well, we started with one, shut if off, turned on another, and I’m sad to say that we’ll never get those two hours back.

It was also my grandmother’s birthday and we chatted with her for a while. We also talked to Michael’s mom. Then, after the evening was over, my mom called and we talked for a while

The baby popped a tooth - FINALLY! What’s odd is that it’s on the top? All the other kids popped bottom teeth first.

This weekend he’s done some new things, for his 10 month mark.

  • Pointing at things he wants or sees
  • Waving at people
  • Humming the Thomas the Tank Engine song (yes, for real, and I can’t wait to catch it on video)
  • Clapping “yay”, all the time
  • Sleeping much better (thankyouthankyouthankyou)
  • Getting up on his knees in the pack-n-play; it’s only a matter of time that he figures out how to stand on his own in there

Hmmmm…what else? We’ve had some bike crashes this weekend, too. One bike crash involved a flat tire. The kids are really enjoying our neighborhood. As I type, the girl is outside playing, and has been playing almost all day.

I have way too much laundry to finish, and way too many dishes to put up and reload into the dishwasher. But, it’s Sunday…it’s my day of rest!!
