Photohunt: Red
“Red”
When I was little, I wore my Macedonian folk dancing costume, proudly.
Here I am greeting Archbishop Kiril with a boy from our church.
I gave him a dozen red roses.
(That’s my mom in the background! She’s making the kissing face
because I was getting ready to kiss his hand as a show of respect.
She’s even wearing red lipstick!!)
I also wore costumes, in red, when I danced with a studio dance troupe!
(Can you pick me out of the group?)
I went through a phase in high school.
Red lipstick was a must!
This picture was taken back in 1994.
Michael had come to NY from LA to “meet” me.
Love is a red flannel shirt on a cold July day.

JC: In Buffalo, NY you can have a cold day, any time of the year. It was ridiculously cold this day, as I remember.

Macedonia.. I have a friend, who now lives in Switzerland, that is from there. She always showed me photos. What a gorgeous place and gorgeous costumes
