Weekend Update
This weekend I felt like a kid who is given a piece of candy, only to have it abruptly taken away. Twice.
On Friday, we left the house around one o’clock. We had some returns to make at Walmart, and some purchases, too. One of the returns was a scooter for Benny. I was stupid and bought the cheaper one. It broke after one use. So, I went ahead and got him the Razor. Mikey wanted one, too. Afterwards we went to the park to meet Mo and company. We walked twice around the park, and then the kids played. When all was said and done we went to the grocery store to pick up some fixins, then back to her house to make dinner. The kids were all chill, and it was very nice; Benny played Legos, Livey played Littlest Pet Shop with Mo’s daughter, Mikey and Mo’s son played on his Nintendo XYZ (or whatever), while Davey napped. We got dinner ready, served the kids, and then made our dinner.
During this time I was waiting to hear from Michael about his release. He was fairly certain that there was a good chance that he’d be home, and I was hanging at Mo’s until then so I wouldn’t have to drive home, then drive back down to Atlanta to pick him. This was when the candy was snatched so abruptly from me. Michael was not released. So, after dinner (which was the best chicken salad with cilantro salad dressing, crusty pesto bread, and red wine) and coffee, I got Davey in his sleep clothes, and we headed home. It was a long day and I was certain that Sadie and Summer would need to make some mega pee!
Saturday was a nice day, and the kids played outside. By mid afternoon I got everyone ready and we went back to Walmart. We needed some groceries, and some formula (which might be the last can since I’m switching Davey to whole organic milk). I also picked up some fried chicken for dinner. Oddly enough, Walmart makes the best fried chicken. By this time, too, I knew that Michael was not being released. More candy ripped away from me, dammit.
After dinner I started to feel kinda crappy, and I hoped that I wasn’t getting sick. Thankfully, I wasn’t. What I needed was a good sleep, and by 9:30pm I was snuggled in bed with Davey. We slept solid until 6:10am, Sunday morning.
Around 9am we took off to pick Michael up. FINALLY! When we got home we opened up the new camera. Ahhhhhh… Do you hear the choir of angels singing? Here are some of the first pics taken:

Yeah, I’m soooooooo gonna love shooting with this camera. In love, I tellyawhut!
I had a whole dinner planned but we decided to scrap it and order some chips, cheese dip, salsa, guacamole, and rice for Davey. In addition I made some “dang quesadillas”. The baby ate his weight in rice, guacamole, and quesadilla bites. Bedtime came up quickly, then we laid down in bed and watched Good Luck Chuck with Dane Cook. Don’t waste your time. Michael actually snored, off and on. Yeah. That. Bad. It’s time that I won’t win back, and I really think we should have just exercised instead!

As someone who is in love with my camera, I totally understand! Though…as much as I’m in love with it, I can’t say I wouldn’t drop it in a New York minute for a newer, better Canon Rebel if I could!
