Melissa at Such Simple Pleasures and Coleen at Manners and Moxie have this really cool “meme“. You go back in your archives, dig up an old blog post, repost it, and let it get some new love!

A Love Letter
October 11th, 2005

Dear Coffee,

Thank you for warming my hand. Thank you for making me feel nice and warm. And, thank you for waking me up.

I know that for many years I neglected you. I turned to cold bubbly caffeine-laden drinks with massive amounts of sugar. That was wrong! To think of all the time I wasted ordering double-doubles and mochas from Timmy’s. To think of all the sugar packets I added to my cup at Perkins. To think of all the mornings & nights I spent drowning myself in Coke and Pepsi. Oh, how I did you wrong.

Now, I know better. No longer do I mask your ambrosial flavor. No longer do I seek to defy your very existence. And someday I will seek to pay respect and homage to you in the ownership of my very own shop, dedicated to your greatness.

Your Ever Faithful Consumer,
Me

I’m a coffee lover as well though just a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and cream is needed… I’m not sure I could or would want to live without it.

  2. Chelsea/PB&J In A Bowl Says:

One day, I was out of cream and sugar, so I tried it black- I fell in love. Why was I trying so hard to cover up the taste? I’m on a mission for black coffee.

  3. Tara R. Says:

Chai tea… cream not milk. But the hand warming thing, is heavenly on a cold morning.

I have a love affair with coffee too, only I do like to add a little cream. It enhances the flavor!

WHere are you hoping to open your own shop?

  8. Mishi Says:

Miss Sniz, it’s just a lifelong dream of mine. Maybe some day I will open one, and be able to incorporate my photography somehow. :)

  9. Tasina Says:

I take mine black usually. But now and then I like a little cream or even a mocha. Great post.

  10. Lizzie Says:

Share your love. We met in college. We kept each other up all night…. still my constant companion..even though all the others have left….I’ll post a picture for you.

    Cheers-

    Lizzie

  11. Laura Says:

MUST have my coffee…if necessary, I’ll drink it black…but I love to make my own…the aroma of fresh-brewed coffee….YUM!

  12. wright Says:

He he he - this was great. Ahhh coffee!

  13. Maggie Says:

How funny. Just in the past few weeks I’ve started occasionally drinking my coffee black, and it was really good. Don’t get me wrong - lattes are still my favorite, but I’ve learned something.

  14. Coleen Says:

I am completely jealous. I have only tried coffee twice and have not fallen in love. I have even been told I am not a true artist because true artists drink coffee. (Jokingly, of course)

I find my curiosity piqued because I find my favorite people love coffee and write blog posts about it as you have. I want to be a member of your fine club. Why does the attraction elude me? *sob*

  15. Momo Fali Says:

What were you thinking?!! Poor coffee. I’ll always treat you right my great big mug of Chock Full o’ Nuts.

Pepsi and Coke in the AM?? Ew! I’d rather drink tea *shudder*

  22. Loralee Says:

I have a feeling if I piped up with what I drink and when, your blog would start shuddering and hurling. (And we can’t have THAT, now can we???!)
