“Prior to 1945, ionizing radiation was deemed nearly innocuous and often believed to be beneficial. Individual exposures to low-level radiation commonly occurred through the 1950s and early 196s from cosmetics, luminous paints, bright wrist watch and alarm clock radium dials, medical-dental X-ray machines, and shoe-fitting apparatus in retail stores. The physical destruction caused by the nuclear explosions above Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Civil Defense programs of the 1950s and 1960s changed that perception.”

I am about to do this meme…with some random fiction…and then I read yours, about radioactivity and history and stuff that can actually be informative, so now I think I should pretend something much more um non-goofy was the book right next to me than the actual piece of fluff that is…
(Okay, but now that I have written that sentence, there is no hope for me to portray myself as anything but a big idiot and bad at grammar and sentence structure.)
For the last week it’s been a biography of Michelangelo, and today it’s a mindless bit of fluff. An entertaining bit of fluff, but still. Fluff.
Sorry to have come and babbled all over your radioactivity…

You just had a nuclear explosion of the fingers, and I liked it!! :D
What the hootenany are you doing with that book near you? When you’re done w/ it, can you send it so I can learn through osmosis?
Wow, you have some serious reading around you ;)
For the record, I have not read this book. I might, looking at it now, but it’s Michael’s. LOL
Mishelle, what a book to have nearby! Interesting bit of info though. Thanks for participating in the meme!
I love this meme. I might have to steal it, or blag a tag from lovely Corey. :D
Rather interesting book you just happened to have handy to grab :)
I did your meme. It’s my post for today! :)
