Heads or Tails: Thread of Love
My mind spoke the words
Before my lips formed them
My heart told my mind
Exactly what was in it
The words escaped
Like a spool of thread
Unraveled
A bond to be sewn
The needle and thread
Complimenting each other as
Patches sewn
Material made stronger still
Fibers strengthened
Through knots and finger pricks
Though the seam
May not be to perfection
It’s the act of suturing
That allows hearts to stay connected
There will be rips, tears, and holes
All able to be mended by the
Thread of our love
Strong, unbreakable, alive
My mind spoke the words
Before my lips formed them
My heart told my mind
Exactly what was in it
