Haiku Friday

Memories clouded
Like raindrops on a window
Remembrance wells up

A storm’s been weathered
This tumultuous friendship
Is now laid to rest

Your words like raindrops
Easily dried by the sun
Looking to the warmth

For I know deep down
In my heart and soul I’ve done
More than I should have

Raindrops come and go
Sight’s easily distorted
But I choose to see

Keeping memories
Always safe and tucked away
Same goes for the hurt

For I have the choice
To allow myself to see
Through the blurred window

    Talk about poignancy, Mishelle.
Letting go of hurt, realizing something can’t be the way it should be, holding on to what is good . . . All of these are SO HARD to do. Did you read the post on Marriage and Manure that I put up? If not, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

It’s WEIRD how you and I seem to be thinking about the same things for a few weeks on end now!

And, Thank You for commenting on my haiku. :)
