Scrolling Saturday VI
S C R O L L I N G S A T U R D A Y
It’s 2 for 1 Time!!
These posts were “live blogged” at the time.
The conversations taking place are between Olivia and myself.
She’s almost 9, by the way. I wonder if she’ll remember?
Probably so.

“Someday I’m going to go to a junkyard and find some stuff and make cool toys and I’ll open up a store to sell them.”
“What will you call this store?”
“The Cool JUNKtion.”
“Wow, that’s a cool idea!”
“See, told ya it was a cool junktion!”
Just 3 Minutes Later…
One Day Before I’m Nine…When I’m Eight…
September 15, 2006 – 7:48 pm
“I want you to take me to a junkyard so I can find some stuff so that I can make a big robot!”
:::giggle:::
“Are you laughing at me?”
“No baby, I just saw a funny picture on the screen.”
“Oh. OK. So, you’ll do that for me on the day after I turn eight?”
“Sure.”
“Really, you’ll take me to the junk yard after I turn eight?”
“We’ll see.”
“Well, that can just be my birthday present from you because I really want to make a cool robot out of junk. OK?”
“Ok, baby.”

it’s a cool idea, though!!
did you ever take her?
xoxo
No, I didn’t.. She’s turning 9 in April. Still don’t know if I’ll take her. She’ll have to settle for the flea market.. LOL
I love that! What a brilliant idea and clever name. That’s one smart girl. The flea market will certainly smell better!!
i like junk, too. i find stuff can be a bit more interesting, but junk’s a lot cooler than crap.
clever clever girl!
I think you should consider taking her. Either she’ll find cool stuff or she’ll figure out it’s not as much of a gold mine as she thought. Either way, she’ll learn from the experience.
Besides, if she’s anything like my kids, she won’t quit bugging you about it until you do. ;-)
She’s so intelligent! I agree with Jeff (although I would’nt like to step foot in a junkyard); it may be just what she needs to cure her of that.
It’s kind of like how everytime I see some cute outfit in a store, but it’s expensive, I go try it on. Guaranteed to make me look fat, but I would’ve always longed for it if I hadn’t…
Oh, you have to take her!! And, then, of course, post a blog report.

Very cool ideas… robots and junk store, perfect combination.
That’s great! You should totally take her!! She may surprise you and make some kind of kick ass robot that does the dishes and cleans her room ;)
Smart girl! You should take her to the junk yard. I bet she’d find some cool stuff.
I love the creativity and the whole intimacy of the conversation, momma to daughter, learning about each other and the world. Thanks for letting us take a peep.
Ringo would be so proud!
