Thursday Thirteen XXVI: Acrostic Times
Thinking about what I want to do for my thirteen, late on a Wednesday night.
How can I top last week’s funny thirteen?
Uncertainty comes over me as I begin to brainstorm ideas.
Right about now there isn’t much of a storm in my brain, as
Sleep will soon be upon me.
The day almost over, another soon to begin.
How on earth does it go by so quickly?
I really don’t have that answer, but the more I ask it the faster the days drip down life’s proverbial drain.
Relax and take it as it comes; what’s the sense in worrying?
To much worry will get [you] nothing,
Everyone knows this to be true.
Enjoy the now; that’s the most and best that I can do!
Never will it be mine again.
It’s That Time Again…
Mikey: “Why is this cheese cake out?”
Mama: “What cheese cake?”
Mikey: “This one, here!”
Mama: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Mikey: “There’s a cheese cake out and Mama’s gonna eat it all!”
Papa: “No, she’s not the only one eating it. I’ll keep an eye on her. She won’t eat all of it.”
Mama: “Ugh. I am not a hog, I don’t eat evvvvvvvverything…”
Benny: “Yes, you do!”
Mama: “Ugh. I’m going to run away. I’m gonna take my Davey, and I’m gonna just run away. You guys are mean.”
Benny: “That was MY idea. I wanted to run away. You stole it!”

Alas, no one is running away and I’m still gonna hog out on some chocolate cheese cake tonight, yo!

Another unsettling element in modern art is that common symptom of immaturity, the dread of doing what has been done before.
