Weekend Update
On Friday morning the kids were urged to finish their schoolwork early as their friends were coming to spend the afternoon with them while Benny went to a place that had an “Open Jump” with their two brothers. Their mom, my friend Michelle, had promised her youngest this day out instead of a birthday party in his honor. The three boys (and Davey) were the only ones there and they had an AWESOME time! Afterwards we went to the grocery store and picked up some frozen pizzas, drinks, and fixings for paninis and sundaes. We came back to our house and got everything ready while the kids played some more. It was a nice afternoon for all.
Saturday morning started out quietly and while the kids played, we coffee-computer time. Michael prepped home made burgers in the early afternoon and then we took off for the mall. Michael was getting a haircut and we were also looking for shoes for Mikey and Livey. Mikey lucked out and got a really nice pair of hiking boots. Livey didn’t find anything so I told her that we’d go to the Outlet Mall the next day to see what we could find. After we came home Michael “George Foremaned” the burgers and we ate them with kettle chips. They were good, and we were full!
Yesterday after lunch Livey, Davey, and I took off for the mall. Which was packed, beyond packed. Davey surely loved being there, though, as he gets some major flirt on! Livey found her shoes, I found a couple bras (FINALLY! The girls look good!), and I picked up a pair of jeans for Michael. On the way home I treated Livey to a drink at Sonic for Happy Hour.
All the kids played outside until dinner. The weather was beautiful and it felt good to have the windows open. Dinner was pork chops on the Foreman, cheesy cauliflower bake, and a big salad. The kids turned in around 8:30, and I followed soon thereafter. Michael had to wait on the last load of whites to finish packing for his departure today.
Today’s been a yucky feeling day for me. I’ve been feeling very nauseous and emotional. I know the red tide is soon to be in, but that knowledge doesn’t make it any better; I still feel like sludge. Hopefully getting out, to take the kids to Karate, will make me feel right. A shower might help, too.
For now, this helps:

Sounds like a fun enough weekend with yummy food. Yummy food makes me smile. A shower once in awhile does help the mood ;)
I’ve tagged you if you want to play – nothing like sharing oddball stuff about yourself with the internets to get happy, right?

What a positive happy little video. I love the song but never stopped to think about the lyrics. :)
