I Never ReMEMEber to do These…
Kim, my awesome bloggy pal, over at Jogging in Circles bestowed upon me this award:

The instructions are to share three writing tips and pass the award on to three bloggers that you deem “worthy of recognition and esteem.”
————————————————————
I’ve been “blogging” for a long time now, but I only went “public” with my blog this past summer. Prior to that the only people that read me were myself, Michael, my cousin, and a friend or two. I didn’t write for anyone, only for myself, and I think I’ve remained true to that. At the end of the day, it’s my name at the top of this blog and it should be a direct representation of who I am. My first bit of advice: Write for yourself and not for anyone else!
Embracing the idea of “Guilt Free Blogging” has also become crucial in my blog-life. Sometimes I feel like I need to float around and comment, or else I’ll lose bloggy pals. Then I realize that I have a busy life (you have a busy life, she has a busy life, he has a busy life, we all have a busy lives) and that people that want to read/see what I have to say/show will continue to read, with or without my comments. I do love to visit other blogs, and I do, I just refuse to feel guilty over it at all. My second bit of advice: Blog free of any guilt!
Honestly, though, my blogging is like dancing. Sometimes my movements are swift and silly, other times they are precise and calculated, and most times they are rhythmic, melodic, and entrancing. One post is like Elaine’s jig in that Seinfeld episode while another post is like Baby’s shining performance with Johnny in Dirty Dancing. There’s feeling and love, movement and music, lyrics and prose; this is my blog and my self should shine through. My third bit of advice: Blog like you are dancing to your favorite song!

Three bloggers whom I deem worthy of this award, recognition, and esteem are:
The brave, the deep, the interesting Huckdoll.
The cool, the intelligent, the fun-loving BusyDad.
The wonderful, the talented, the lovely DKaye.

Oh my gosh! Mishelle – thank you so very much. I feel quite honored to have this bestowed to me. :)
I totally agree with your sentiments here. Writing from the heart, being true to oneself, and have fun doing it! That’s what it’s all about. And can I just say, you do an excellent job of it!
Hugs,
dKaye

Those are GREAT blogging words to live by. I, too, live by the “Guilt-Free” credo. It really frees you to post what you want when you want and HOW you want.

I like your notion of ‘Guilt-Free’ blogging. I always make sure that whatever I say will not make it impossible to meet whoever reads it.
