love thursday
The other day Livey said, “Mama, I found the coolest rock in the cul-de-sac. Wanna see?”
“Sure,” I replied and she brought the rock to me, placing it in my hand. It was the tiniest, prettiest, little gem of a rock, perfectly shaped like a heart.
“Awwww look, Mama,” she gushed, “my heart is in the palm of your hand.”
I thought my heart would burst!
Often times my sweet daughter and I butt heads, but–more often than not–we find many ways to forget about those head butts. She even says that when she grows up and has cats for pets (which I am deathly allergic to), that she will make sure she cleans her house really well when I come over to visit. Now that’s love!
——————————————
I certainly hope that I always have her heart in the palm of my hand.

And, I always hope she knows that she can hold my hand any
time she wants to, needs to, or has to…

love. pure love.

Mother/daughter love – so precious. That is such a sweet story. :)
One birthday my sister sent me a beautiful little bag with an assortment of stones she had collected while strolling the beach near her home, and they were all heart-shaped. It was SO sweet!

I must have just got some dirt in my eyes. They seem to be tearing up.
Really Beautiful.
My three year old will dress in one of her princess gowns and upon finding me always asks, “Will you marry me daddy?”. I always says yes, and then we dance. I love pure love.
