100 Words: The Point
How long has it been, dear?
Far too long, I fear.
I can still remember my first glance.
How we gave our friendship a precious chance.
I’ll never forget our laughter on that old couch.
For you I’ll always vouch.
How long has it been, dear?
Right now all I can think of is to jeer.
Fresh in my heart is sadness and pain,
I feel I’ve lost all that I’ve come to gain.
What’s the point of seeing you once more?
My heart is already way too sore.
How long has it been, dear?
Far too long, my dear.

Your comment made me smile. I think you may be the only contender this week. I’m trying to rally up some momentum but these things take time.
I really can’t believe you manage to write poetry in 100 words. And maintain rhythm. I would fall flat on my face trying that.
I loved this.
This plus the “sad eyes” shot makes my heart hurt! The art of letter writing is still cool, I promise.
(And what be this 100 words thing? I shall check it out, methinks. )
OKay I am interested and am going to see what I can manage.
You hooked me, inspired me…

I loved this Mish – you are so talented.
I’m so sorry for your hurting. I’m thinking of you.
