“13(+1) Windows to my Soul”

  • Evangola State Park, sitting on top of the ledge, sunburned, eating an ice cream sandwich, looking out on the water, and laughing with my cousins.
  • Always the thing to do when we gathered there, walking around the church countless times.
  • Racing down the street on my Big Wheels, the wind in my hair.
  • Looking out on to the Atlantic Ocean for the first time on our first family vacation to Madeira Beach.
  • Holding hands, walking, kissing, gazing into Michael’s eyes, for the first time, at Niagara Falls.
  • French Quarter, New Orleans; I fell in love—the smell, the sights, the lights, the intrigue.
  • Standing next to Michael at the alter of our church.
  • Looking over the Allegheny Mountains, sitting on the porch, at night when the stars shone brightly, at our little Bed and Breakfast. Have to add: The little breakfast that we ate in the atrium, too.
  • The exhilaration of holding a new life in my arms.  Four times, each time just as perfect as the last.
  • Memphis, TN, driving around absorbing all the sights and learning about Michael’s roots.
  • Breathing, stretching, practicing a yogic life in our house in Cheektowaga.
  • Hiking to the top of Indian Seats with Mo and the kids.
  • Sleeping in my bed, in my home here in GA, for the first time.
  • Blogging; become more artistic through my writing and photography
