If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.

Very nice. I love the quote.
Is that an airweight? I discovered airweights and my old case of carpal tunnel don’t get along very well. I plan to get a steel one.

  12. Mishi Says:

It’s not an airweight, or at least I don’t think it is. It’s heavy, so I’m assuming it’s good ole steel. Michael might chime in on this one, Jennifer! ;)

  13. Nissa Says:

LOVE the quote. The pic is cool, too, though. :)

  14. Michael Says:

Yep, it’s an Airweight, the S&W 642 concealed hammer snubbie.

Indeed, the Dalai Lama showed great wisdom in that quote. More importantly, I think it also highlights self defense as an inalienable right. Our founding fathers certainly believed this.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

    Thomas Jefferson’s “Commonplace Book,” 1774-1776,
quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

  15. Maggie Says:

Oh, Mishi, now I’m loving Michael, too!

  16. Jennifer Says:

Thank you Michael. I’m actually looking at a 640 concealed hammer snubbie.
