  • LOL not – ours was $230 for 150 litres (filled one car and a bit in another)

  • It has been so long since I filled the tank of my MomVan up all the way to full, I can’t even remember. I buy TWO or THREE gallons at a time and we just don’t drive that much anymore. My kids would love to spend the summer going on day trips to the beach and such, but I can’t afford the gas. It SUCKS.

  • Wow – here in the UK we are the equivalent of $11.37 a gallon fight now

  • It makes me cry. I only put in $20/wk TOPS most weeks because we don’t go many places…but this week I’ve had to take the kiddo to space camp, so I had to fill up today after filling up on Wed. This time I was smart and did it in the morning like is recommended…but it still makes me sick to put in $20 and not even get half a tank!!

  • Ouch! I put in a half a tank this moring and it cost me $40.

  • What kind of vehicle? Mulie the F150 takes about $65, after 10 cent discount…

  • honey, by my calculations, that was about $3.91 a gallon. right?

we consider ourselves LUCKY to find anything less than $4.59.

shoot me. it really would be the kindest thing.

  • That was with a 10 cent discount –at Kroger– and it’s a 2002 Honda Odyssey.

  • Ugh!! My fill up cost is at around $70 when it’s just about empty! :*( Been trying desperately all week to work out a deal to trade in our suv for a minivan – but it’s a no-go :( I guess I get to spend the $12 I have in the bank on groceries instead of the carwash (to make it look nice for trade in value).

  • A sad state of affairs, but I think you are lucky to pay only $3.91. In I remember $3.91 quite fondly….we hit $4.04 about a month ago. Yesterday I paid $4.39 and when I drove past the same station this morning, it was $4.49. How can it go up .10 in one night???!!!

  • Disgusting, isn’t it? I had the pump turn off on me the other day when I hit “the magic cut off number” yet I wasn’t full.

  • Kim

    Seriously, this makes me cry.

  • Uggh is right. This is the 20th gas related post / shot I saw this week – it’s so on everyone’s mind!

    *le sigh*

  • I assume that’s a lot! LOL! Your pricing means little to me, all I know is that our petrol prices are exorbitant now too!

  • Sadly my dear it is the same down here in Tasmania. Except that I would love love love to only pay $60 for 15 gallons of juice.. *sighs* it is approximately $6.60 a gallon here. That is $1.65 a litre. they reckon that petrol(gas) will hit the $2.00 a litre mark by the end of the year. eeeek..(4 litres to a gallon)

    brilliant wordless posting…

  • That’s disgusting isn’t it.
Great WW, everyone can feel that pain.

  • I filled the tank of my minivan on Monday. I paid $90.00 (sigh).

As I was driving to work tonight, I notice that I only had 1/4 left… sob!

Here is my WW post for this week. Hope you had a great day!

  • Oof. Yup. SO glad I have my Corolla! :P
But still, I got something like 9.3 gallons for ~45$$ !!!
Yeah. 4.50, le sigh. Even the cheapest ARCO near me [no credit cards] is 4.29, and even the usually-reasonable ‘76′ station near our house is 4.53.
We’ve been staying in all week. Will probably walk to the corner store for milk tomorrow rather than drive to the supermarket.

  • Oh gosh…how awful. I filled up my Honda Accord yesterday and it was 59 dollars. Talk about expensive!

  • I came over to your site from the comments you left on my blog on the CCC headshot. Thank you for that.

I like you blog, and your photos. This wordless wedneday is a classic. Very demonstrative.

And I just noticed a link to your poetry too. I’ll head over next to check it out and will be back here again. No doubt about it.

    Thanks again.
