Project 365 (316abc/365)
It was a rather uneventful Fourth of July. Our town had it’s fireworks last night, so even tonight it’s been quiet, with the exception of a few, off-in-the-distance, fire crackers.
Michael took the kids to watch the display last night, and this morning they went to a parade. This parade stuck out in our minds as a great time, but everyone agreed that it wasn’t like they remembered. Michael was bitter from the onset when no one applauded the color guard, save one guy across the way.
While he and the kids were there I took Davey out so I could catch a picture for my Flickr scavenger hunt. Then I got a text from my neighbor asking if I wanted to meet at the park. So, I got home, changed into something more park’ish, got Davey a drink, and headed out. Davey and neighbor friend’s kids played, and then we walked the mile around the park.
When I got home Michael was already home with the kids. Davey went down for nap, shortly thereafter, and I eventually laid down with him. I was awoken to the splendor that is PAPA JOHN’S!! The rest of the day has been filled with playing, Wii, computer, playing, eating popsicles (Breyer’s makes a new kick ass line of All Natural ones that have no dyes or preservatives), and loafing around.
Now it’s time to go watch Dexter!

It looks like there was a great turnout for the parade! We didn’t do anything fun because my hubby had to work. Sometimes uneventful can be good.
What a sweet shot of Davey.
I have to agree with Michael – patriotism is going down the tubes these days.
