Best Shot: Dogs, Guns, and Books

The long weekend was mellow and delightful. We did lots of fun stuff, took walks, went to church at the church that has kick-ass music and interesting lessons, made dinners together, played games, and so on, and so forth. After one more off rotation we will trek to Buffalo, again. This time the pooches are coming with us. Hopefully they will fare well.

There was a funny picture in my Weekly Winners. It was of Davey and a pink purse. That purse is Olivia’s and he was making me laugh so hard with it. He kept putting it up on his shoulder, talking jibber-jabber, walking around with it, setting it down, picking it back up, flinging it on to his shoulder, over and over again. It was so funny!

Mikey had some of his toy rifles down here yesterday, as he and Olivia were playing outside with them, and Davey kept picking them up. Papa’s pride was fully restored.

There’s a new obsession in the house for Davey: BOOKS! He’s constantly brining them to us, to read to him. Michael and I were recalling how the kids all did that to us when they were little. Except now we have the older kids to share the reading load with . . . Payback, yo!

oh yeah, baby. it’s wonder-freakin-ful when the olders take their turn with the youngers.

that’s the beauty of the huge age gap i have between kid no. 2 and 3 and between 3 and 4.
