I hope David has memories of Sadie. She’s not going to live much longer and I can’t help but think that he knows this some how. She’s been a member of our family for 12 and a half years and I cannot imagine coming home and her not being there. She’s watched over us through thick and thin. She’s welcomed each of our children into the world with loving paws. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had.
Keep loving on your Sadie Girl, Davey. She deserves nothing less than the sweet unconditional love you give her, as she has given all of us.
Oh my gosh, if only you could see the stream of tears trailing down my face. I loathe the thought of Sadie not being here. She’s been nothing but the best friend to us.
We had to have our 9 year old Maggie put to sleep just a few months ago – and I swear Baby Liam misses him even though he was just about 10 months old at the time. She was so sweet with both of our boys – it kills me to think Liam’s going to go through his toddler years without a dog. And my older son keeps asking if “Jesus is done fixing Maggie yet?” *sigh* sweet picture and super sweet comment.
I love this picture. And you’ll have happy you have it some day, long after Davey has grown up. I’ll be he remembers her. I still remember bring my dog home when I was under 2-years-old. Vivid memory. I loved that dog dearly.
Auh, That is love!
Happy WW.
Don’t tell my daughters….but there ain’t nothing better than baby boy love and puppy (even grown puppies) love.
You are so blessed.
