Best Shot Monday: Finding Bliss

When I was up in Buffalo, last month, my friend Lotus, The Sarcastic Mom, contacted me regarding the relaunch of a certain online magazine. She asked me if I would want to be a contributor for the Photography Channel. How could I refuse that? I didn’t say “yes,” I said “HELL YES!”

I am in awe of where my love of photography has taken me. I feel that I am on the cusp of something big. Not just with being a contributor over at Blissfully Domestic | Photo Bliss, but much more. Something lucrative; something that will remind me that I am doing more than being a mom. Something worthy; something that will make me stop doubting myself. Something creative; something that will reinforce life within—and around—me.

My first article over at Photo Bliss will run tomorrow and it is titled “Photography Basics and Rules”. I will be concentrating on doing a series of these types of articles. Hopefully they will help and inspire [others] to pick up a camera and start shooting life around them. Things change when you learn how to see your world, when you start to interpret it for yourself, and change is good for the soul!

You know what else is good for the soul?   Chocolate!  I snapped this picture (for Best Shot Monday) when we were about 15 miles north of our town, picking up some Papa John’s pizza.  Don’t even get me started on how much I wish I would have had Michael stop the van so I could go in and buy—like—four pounds of chocolate bliss.
