there is truth
that not one
is like another
our marks show
differences of life
how
some are bright
while
others are dull
how
we all shine
when
we become one
in the mix
there is breath
collectively drawn in
and slowly exhaled
showing the marks
of life’s similarities

one green leaf. Like summer is refusing to go. Kind of like my hope that summer would stay forever. All I have to do is step outside into the -5 degree weather and reality hits me like a brick wall.
