Eighty-One
When I saw these scarecrows, while driving home yesterday, I was so thankful that I had my camera in tow. They reminded me of my Grandfather’s garden and the scarecrow(s) that he’d made over the years to protect it. These are different from his, but they still stirred memories of the good laughs we had about the stories we made up and told each other about his scarecrows!
Oddly enough, today is my Grandfather’s 81st birthday!
I talked to him earlier today to wish him a Happy Birthday:
“Ke se vidime vo edna nedela / We’ll see each other in about one week,” I said.
“Ke te cekam / I’ll wait for you,” he replied.

Wonderful shots, Mishi. And Happy Birthday, Grandpa.

He’s so silly. He says stuff like, “They’re still painting the apartment.” (in heaven) LOL He says when they are done painting it, They’ll let him know and he can go move in. Don’t you just love that death analogy? I used to tell him that they ran out of the color he chose. :P

Love these Superior Snaps. I expect them to get down off their polls and start dancing any minute now. Puts me in mind of The Wizard of Oz, no? And happy birthday to Grandpa…what a lovely present!
