It was a Day I’ll Never Forget
The sun was bright in the blue-blue sky that day. It was Happy Hour at Sonic and I was sipping on a Diet Cherry Limeade. My camera was beside me housed in my dearest Lola. And there my smiling, happy boy sat, guzzling his lemonade diagonally behind me.
“We’re gonna go to the lake, Mama!” I endearingly exclaimed to Davey.
“The leeeeek?” he asked.
“Yes, the lake, baby,” I confirmed.
Waiting at the stop light, I was thrilled at the idea of David seeing the lake. He was all GQ in jeans and a polo shirt, and I knew that any moments captured would be a treasure!
We got there, I took off his sneakers, rolled up his jeans, and we headed for the shore.
“The leeeeeek, Mama! The leeeeeeeek!” he exclaimed.
I took a bunch of pictures before Davey ran into the lake, forcing me in my long, white skirt to get in almost waist deep to ensure he did not fall under.
This is what I love about photography. How our daily lives are documented and how it’s becoming something that the kids will be able to look back upon with their own families in the (very) distant future. I plan on making some hard bound books for them someday, but in the meantime I keep clicking and preserving our memories.
I have also made a vow to hang more pictures on our walls.
So, when I was contacted by Canvas Press to do a review for them, I knew from exactly which set of pictures I would be picking from.
This is what I chose:
The print is BEAUTIFUL! The quality is out-of-this world and I would (without a doubt) recommend Canvas Press. It’s a highly impressive piece of art.
I was so excited when they also said that I could give-a-way a print, just like mine, to one of my readers!
One lucky reader will win a 16×20 Canvas Print from Canvas Press.
All you have to do is comment.
(For an extra entry sign up for my RSS feed, but don’t forget to let me know in your comment)
It’s that simple.
The winner will be announced on my birthday…. Sunday, May 16th
GOOD LUCK!
{Canvas Press provided me with the 16×20 canvas print, but I was not otherwise compensated.}

Love it! Hoping the weather clears up enough this weekend to take my girls to Lake Michigan for pictures, actually. I (sheepishly) bought them matching dresses because I have this IDEA in my head to have them stomping in the water in matching dresses. Whatever. They’re cute, they can pull it off ;)
