Weekly Winners {The Ellijay Edition}
This past Thursday we went out to Ellijay, GA to film a spot for a locally run commercial for GCO. It was fun and I can’t wait to see the commercial that comes out of the footage taped.
Also, I wanted to mention that I posted a new photo challenge posted at Aiming Low. The challenges are called “Picture It Outside of the Box” and I hope you all play along. This week it’s all about flare, like the eighth picture in my Weekly Winners set this week.

Erica & Dusty {Part II}
After the ceremony we headed to the front of Bowen Art Center and took some wedding party and family formals. This set of gorgeous people was super easy to photograph. Too, the lighting was perfect.
Next up…The Reception!
Erica & Dusty: My First Wedding {Part I}
The weather was perfect.The sun shone brightly.The sky was a beautiful shade of blue.The temperature mild.The atmosphere blessed.
{It reminded me of my very own wedding day, almost-exactly 15 years to the day.}
Being a wedding photographer is a trusted role, and it’s not to be taken lightly. Ultimately I was there to tell the story of Erica and Dusty’s wedding day. One day their children will look at these shared moments from October 2nd, 2010, and what an honor to be the one to capture it for their posterity’s sake.
Right now I’ll simply let the pictures tell this special story:
More to come….
Flip Flops Be Gone
It seems like fall is f i n a l l y here, and I’ve traded my flip-flops for those oddly comfortable Trailbreak Crocs.
Yesterday, I even needed a sweater at the park (the park by the pool that is all closed up and covered tightly.)
Now I wait. I wait for fiery colors to emerge. For night to fall even earlier than it does. For extra blankets. And, howling wind.
Yes, my flip-flops are all but done, but fall ALWAYS makes my belly do flip-flops.
A Wedding Teaser
After much anticipation Erica and Dusty’s wedding day arrived. I was prepared to shoot the wedding, and, boy, did I ever shoot it.
I accumulated almost 42GB’s of photos on a total of 4 memory cards (2- 16 GB, 1-8GB, and 1-2GB). I had my 24-70mmL f/2.8 and Speedlite 580 EXII on my 5D Mark II and my 50mm f/1.4 on my Rebel XTi.
I’ve been working diligently on getting them finished, and I’m close to half way there.
Stay tuned for more…
(Until then, let it be known that I am completely in need of another wedding to shoot!)
