Weekly Winners {Shades of Green}
“Beauty, sweet love, is like the morning dew, Whose short refresh upon tender green, Cheers for a time, but till the sun doth show And straight is gone, as it had never been.”—Samuel Daniel
Weekly Winners {The Cupcakes and Cocktails Edition}
I was so happy to be able to be in town for a Girls’ Night Out that one of our Godmothers, Monika, hosted at her house. It was so awesome. I laughed until tears came, I ate until it was hard for me to sit comfortably, I mastered the game Taboo (not really), and I had a wonderful time catching up with old friends, and making new!

Weekly Winners {Our Library Rocks}
Our library is so awesome. Through the year there are great activities, but the summer series ROCKS! I hope everyone has libraries, in their town, like ours; The whole team rocks. This summer Mikey and Livey had the opportunity to volunteer. They’ve loved every minute of it, and have even asked to volunteer all year long, next year! The librarians love them, and the lead youth librarian really made my day, last week, by telling me what superb children they are. That? Made my day. Especially when I get to see the day-to-day sibling rivalry (something I never experienced as an only child.)
Here’s a glimpse at what’s gone on the past couple of week:

The Search
on my necklace
it says ‘bliss’
something
i search for
on a daily basis
bliss
amongst the chaos
amidst feelings
of failure
and lacking
quietly thinking
over-thinking
to the point
it manifests itself
into senseless actions
like this
or that
often starring off
into space with
meandering thoughts
do we all
feel this way?
suffering quietly
for fear
of not measuring up
motherhood
is hard
womanhood
is harder, together
intricately intertwined
ideas of perfection
constantly
invade me
delude me
infuriate me
i know who i am
not perfect
but whole
pieces scattered
always collectable
37 years into life
i beg to be
reminded
that despite anything
there is bliss
