My Life List

I’ve been meaning to finish this list for a long time now. Inspired by Maggie Mason, I’ve seen so many other greats post their life list, I decided it was time. I finally finished it. Two down, ninety-eight one hundred one hundred and one one hundred to go!
- Write a novel.
- Visit Macedonia with my family.
- Make my grandfather’s Kebob recipe and share them with people who’ve never had them.
- Grow a flower garden.
- Travel across America in an RV.
- Walk for the March of Dimes in honor of Madeline Spohr.
- Get my black belt in Karate.
- Cook a seven course meal for more than 25 people.
- Mud wrestle in a bikini.
- See the Grand Canyon. And not just for two seconds like Clark Griswald’s family did.
- Get my pilot’s license with Michael as my instructor.
- Complete a 5K.
- Complete a Triathlon. Go to Mary Eggers for training!
- Sing on a stage and not a karaoke stage. Another play, perhaps?
- Grow a vegetable garden. Lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers, oh my!
- Create an original dish.
- Wear only six pieces of clothing for one month.
- Put together that coffee table book that Michael and I have always talked about.
- Backpack through Europe which includes making out at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
- Get drunk on an airplane (preferably on an East -> West coast or international flight!)
- Live in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
- Lead a series of online workshops. Teach people how to get off the “green square”.
- Photowalk in five major cities that I’ve never visited before. All the while, visiting all my internet peoples!
- Drive a convertible on Route 66.
- Camp out in a dessert. Allowing me to sleep under the starry, starry night.
- Jump on a trampoline for 30 minutes. Burning calories, having fun, and avoiding lipo all at the same time.
- Have a picnic in Central Park complete with wicker basket.
- Hike the whole Appalachian Trail. Start in GA and head north.
- Display my artwork in a gallery.
- Learn to play my guitar, along with learning to play my favorite DMB tunes.
Act in a play.{Role: The Duchess in Alice in Wonderland, May 2011}- Drink wine in Tuscany.
- See the Great Wall of China.
- Go to an awards show in a designer gown. And, not a plus sized gown, either!
- Visit five different types of churches.
- Photograph a really high profile wedding.
- Document the birth of a baby, from belly to arms.
- Complete a Project 365 with our film SLR.
- Paint the house with colors that make me happy.
- Own a white bedroom suite.
- Eat raw for as long as I can.
- See Dave Matthews Band perform at The Gorge.
- Swim at a pool at the bottom of a waterfall.
- Attend a Hawaiian Luau. I want to wear a grass skirt and coconut bikini top, too!
- Participate in the drum circle in Asheville, NC.
- Dance naked in the rain.
- Swim in the Pacific Ocean.
- Catch a fish at Pike Place Market.
- Visit my friends in South Africa.
- Visit my friends in Australia.
- Host a get-together for my April 98 Mommies Group.
- Take my kids to Disneyland.
- Throw a fantastic Halloween Party.
- Sew a dress from a pattern.
- Smoke a cigar while drinking Scotch.
- Develop my own set of actions.
- Get married to Michael again.
- Hand write in a journal for a year (or more).
- Complete “The 52 Everyday Stranger Project”.
- Become a destination wedding photographer.
- Open a studio of my own. One with awesome lighting and great texture.
- Make a batch of peanut brittle to give as a gift.
- Ride a horse.
- Swim with dolphins.
- Stay up all night watching movies.
- Own a Mac.
- Go off the grid for a month. Who knows if this is possible without the Zombie Apocalypse?
- Take a Gondola ride in Venice.
- See the Pyramids;
- The Parthenon;
- The Amazon;
- The Taj Mahal
- Rummage through a junkyard to find a treasure to take to Antiques Roadshow (perhaps?!)
- Ride my bike 18 miles.
- Go to an all women’s retreat.
- Take a Bikram Yoga class. A good way to keep fit and healthy even if it will leave me a sweat drippy mess.
- Interview five photographers I look up to.
- Photograph historic Savannah, Georgia at sunrise and sunset.
- Home school one or all of our children through high school.
- Win Rainbow Road on Mario Kart Wii.
- Read the whole Harry Potter series.
- Learn HTML. </haha>
- Knit a blanket all by myself.
- Have mimosas for breakfast.
- Climb to the top of a mountain.
- Visit one (or both) of the poles.
- Go to Amsterdam and {inhale}.
- Make a German Chocolate Cake from scratch.
- Run a marathon. I’ll make sure to have a beer after (and an ice bath!)
- Volunteer my time at a woman’s shelter.
- Volunteer my time at a animal rescue shelter.
- Volunteer my time at a home for the elderly.
- Have a full body massage.
- Watch a baby being born.
- Learn how to French braid.
- Grow my hair to the middle of my back.
- Make love on the beach of an ocean.
- Climb a tree.
- Make dinner and bring to a neighbor, just because.
- Fill an aquarium with beautiful fish an allow myself to become mesmerized.
- Sky dive.
- Live out west.
- Take part in a Flash Mob. {completed at Blissdom 2011 to Party in the USA}
