I’m a Finalist!

A couple big things happened today.
First, a box was delivered to the house. My beautiful new lens arrived. This thing is a tank. I’ve taken pictures of every corner of the house and yard; I’m itching to take a country drive now. The lens is a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L USM which translates to wowie-zowie! I’m in love.
Second, and still related to photography, I found out that I am a Finalist in the Ninth Annual Weblog Awards. Wow! I am so totally honored by this. I’ve received emails and tweets and Facebook messages, and it’s so heartwarming and encouraging! So. Totally. Awesome.

As for the lens – that’s the one I have on my camera 90% of the time. LOVE.
