Meet Casey

A girl logs on her to flower powered HP
She says why am I soft in the middle now
Why am I soft in the middle
The rest of my life is so hard
I need a photo-opportunity
I want a shot at redemption
Don’t want to end up a cartoon
In a cartoon graveyard
Bonedigger, bonedigger
Dogs in the moonlight
Far away my well-lit door
Mr. Beerbelly
Beerbelly
Get these mutts away from me
You know I don’t find this stuff amusing anymore
If you’ll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
A girl sings karaoke
She sings why am I short of attention
Got a short little span of attention
And my nights are so long
Wheres my hubs and family
What if I die here
Who’ll be my role-model
Now that my role-model is
Gone gone
She ducked back under the super pretty HP
With some roly-poly little bat-faced girl
All along, along
There were incidents and accidents
There were hints and allegations
If you’ll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Call me Al
A girl walks down the street
Its a street in a strange world
Maybe its the third world
Maybe its her first time around
She doesn’t speak the language
She holds no currency
She is a foreign girl
She is surrounded by the sound
The sound
Cattle in the marketplace
Scatterlings and orphanages
She looks around, around
She sees angels in the architecture
Spinning in infinity
She says amen! and hallelujah!
If you’ll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Call me Al
Original song by: Mr. Paul Simon
(duh!)
Casey,
No matter who your body guard is or who your body guard isn’t, I want you to know that you have had the power to bring me to tears with your written and spoken word. I want you to know that you have made me lose my breath by way of your beauty. I want you to know that I am thankful that I have met you in “real life” and that we are bonded by this blog-o-sphere!
You can have countless Als and Bettys in your life! So Betty when you call me, you can call me Al!

Very, very cool, Mishi. xoxo
oh that is very cool!! And she’s so pretty!
Hi, just found your blog and I am enjoying meeting all these new bloggers. Thanks.
I’m all over this bodyguard thing if I get to hang out with the likes of this crowd. Talk about dream job!
You are quite welcome!
I’m hearing that about “dream job”, for real!
This is one of my faves so far. You’re so dang Creative (with a capital C), Mishi!
Fantastic post with great photo!
Oh my gosh, that was soooo poignant… I only hope that someday someone will feel moved to do an Ode to Dory. The MOVED part is oh so much more important than the ODE part.
Love the photo, love the song, love the point. Awesome.
We had done a lot of blog related stuff together and never really sat down and talked. Until Blogher – just a random lazy day in the lobby. It was a blast. Casey kinda rocks.
Yeah, she’s great and all…but, look at the picture again. That’s my left boob! And, I’m not talking about Casey, though technically…
